E Komo Mai to the Kona Billfisher, where true aloha spirit awaits your arrival! Situated on the southern edge of the village of Kailua Kona, on the island of Hawaii, the Kona Billfisher is walking distance to beaches, shops, restaurants, clubs, and many other great activities.

Many units have beautiful ocean views or tranquil garden lanais, perfect to watch those famous Hawaiian sunsets. The resort offers a pool, gazebo gathering area with ping-pong, board games, and BBQs to make your vacation time a memorable one. Laundry and housekeeping services are also provided for your comfort.

COVID-19 Notice:

  • All arrivals into the State of Hawaii must quarantine for 14 days.
  • Governor David Ige has delayed the option for pre-arrival COVID testing until October 1st. For more information on the mandate, click here.
  • Prior to your trip, be sure to register the Self-Quarantine form and complete the Mandatory Travel Declaration. Do not sign quarantine registration form ahead of time as an airport agent must witness signature and initials.
  • If you’re connecting through Honolulu airport, you will go through the quarantine check-in process in Honolulu, before proceeding to your next destination.
  • Upon disembarking the aircraft your temperature will be taken.  They are concerned with temperatures over 100.4 degrees.
  • You will then be routed to an airport personnel who will:
    • Lookup your destination address in county property records to make sure it is a legitimate address.
    • Call the number listed on your paperwork to ensure it is a working mobile number.
    • Sign a two page agreement that covers the terms of quarantine.
    • You are then free to continue onward.
  • Visitors subject to quarantine are not allowed to rent a car. Ride share, taxi and shuttle services are still operating on the Big Island.  You might ask a neighbor or friend for a pickup!
  • Once at your destination the quarantine rules require you to not leave unless for a medical emergency.
  • Each day of quarantine you are to check-in on the Safe Travels website.
  • During your quarantine you will likely receive one to three phone calls from Hawaii county personnel checking in on your health status and to make sure you are doing OK.
  • Currently, bars are not allowed to be open, and they are all closed across the island.
  • While a few restaurants are open on the island, most are currently closed.
  • Grocery stores are open, as well as big box stores like Wal-Mart, Target, Office Max and Petco.

The Kona Billfisher is located on the southern edge of the village of Kailua Kona, on the island of Hawaii. The Kona Billfisher is walking distance to shops, restaurants, clubs, and many other activities. The village stretches for a total of one mile from the King Kamehameha Hotel on the north to the Royal Kona on the south, and provides almost any amenity that a visitor might need or want.
